Can a dealer scamer garnish my wages?
So I saw this add online for Ford of Upland to train employees as sales ppl. I was promised $2,000 every month plus commission from a guy ford of Upland hired to train us. I've been working there about a month. On the 5th am supposed to get commisions. On the 20th am supposed to get my 2,000.( Well I only got $800 ). I signed a paper saying my trainer could garnish my wages at the end of the month by taking 350 to pay for the program at the end of my 1st month. So my trainer took out the money and I didn't get my 2,000 only 800. Do you think the bank will give me back my 350 if I tell them this has all been a scam and lies? I've lost so much money first I paid $400 up front to the dealer to get my training started not they took out an extra $350. I basically haven't gotten paid for anything! I've been working over 40 hrs each week and I haven't gotten evenot at all. Help me out please I don't know own what to do.
The bank won't have anything to do with this. Check what you actually signed as an employment agreement - it probably says something about training rates, and this is probably consistent with what you signed.
If your pay actually goes below minimum wage as a result, that you can bring to your state's labor board. Otherwise, you're the one who signed on to a dodgy job (normally you're not paying for your own training) and you either stick it out to see if it gets better, or quit. Or, if you're not selling cars, get fired - because they're not going to put you on payroll for long if you show no ability to sell.
See how it goes the second month. If it is not what they promised, garnish a new car.
The contract, the agreement you signed is binding. It All depends on how that contract is worded.
Your argument is with the "dealer," not the bank.
The bank is not going to deal with this. Why would you pay to be trained for a job by the company that is supposed to be paying you?
You have probably been taken in.
Why would the bank give you money? It's about time you learned that the bank does not care if you got scammed. It has nothing to do with them. If you have a problem it is between you and the dealer or trainer,.
You signed the paper agreeing to it. The bank doesn't have nor ever had your money, they will not nor have no obligation to, give you anything.
The bank CAN'T give you back anything, because they never had it. The scam artist you think you work for not paying you is not even close to the same as garnishment.
You are out of luck.
The bank can't give you back the money because the bank never had the money.
- Should Ford motor company sue Christine Ford for $1B and garnish her wages for life? I mean their good name will forever more be associated with unreliability. Instead of "Ford Tough" they'll be known as "Ford Flake".
- Can i ask the ford dealer to trade my car in on full value? I bought a Ford Mustang GT in mid March brand new, but i bought it automatic. I now realize that this was a huge mistake, and i want to get the same car in manual. The MSRP on the manual is about 2000 less than the automatic. I have put about 3000 miles on the car. Do you think they will give me full value for the car?
- What is better to sell a car in the street or trade it to dealer? I currently have two cars. One is paid for and the other one is a 2013 Ford Fiesta I owe about 11k and has 29k miles on it. A friend will give me $9500 but I have to pay the rest. If I do this I will not have a car as a back up or to travel because the paid off car is old and not reliable for long distance travel. What should I do. Sell the car to my friend or trade it off to a dealer and owe about the same? Why? I'm just trying to get rid of the Ford cause its too small…
