Calif emissions on ford 460 exhaust manifold?

[2]EGR tubes on 460ci exhaust manifold

What is it you are trying to ask?

This would be part of the AIR injection system, which sends fresh air into the manifolds at the exhaust port. This causes any unburned mixture coming out of the engine to ignite, reducing emissions of those unburned gasses. They're usually found on older vehicles. If yours is old enough, it may be exempt by now.

I'm not sure what the cutoff year is these days.

  • Which exhaust/exhaust system would work best for my car? I own a 1970 Ford Torino (Brougham) with a 351 Cleveland engine running on stock exhaust. I want to upgrade the exhaust (I'm thinking Flowmaster) but like, does the whole exhaust system need to be done, or like half? I need your help making my baby roar lol. Please give me your best suggestions and approximate cost.
  • How do you determine if your car is under California or Federal emissions if your emissions sticker is gone? I have a 1993 ford taurus 3.8L V6 GL 4dr. Sedan. I need to know if my car is under California or federal emissions. I know you are suppose to have a sticker on your car that tells you but mine was destroyed over time so I really don't know. Is their another way to get this information? How would I find out?
  • Failed emissions test trouble code P0462? I have a 2004 Ford Taurus that couldn't pass the emissions test due to this code P0462. Is this a faulty fuel level sensor? I had a problem about 1yr ago with the gas gauge showing the empty when it wasn't. But that seems to be ok now. Or could it be a fuel pump? I'm not sure what to do.
  • Replacing Exhaust Manifold? I have a 1991 Ford Ranger 2x4 with a 4 cylinder. Would it be worth the money to replace the exhaust manifold for a less restrictive one and hopefully gain a little more HP? Or should I just not even waste the money. Also do you have any other suggestions on how to squeeze a little more juice out of this tiny engine?
