Why does my 1994 Ford Bronco start intermittently?

Sometimes when I start my 1994 Ford Bronco, I hear the fuel pump run for about five seconds and stop. The truck starts right up. Other times when I go to start it the fuel pump never shuts off and runs continuously, and the truck will not start, Weather doesn't seem to affect it. Any Ideas?

Get a mechanical fuel pressure gauge and monitor it while the problem occurs

The fuel pump on a '94 should run all the time. Check the fuel pressure regulator.

I guess change the fuel pump fuse. If that doesn't work you'll need a new fuel pump.

  • Strange, intermittent alarm sound in 1994 Ford Bronco? I'm looking to identify the source the sound in this video: It doesn't seem to be connected to anything that I do in the vehicle, and you can hear it cuts in and out mid beep.
  • Problems with 1994 Ford Bronco 4x4? I'm having problems with my 1994 Ford Bronco 5.8. The 4x4 went out and the light it stuck on 4x4 but it is not in 4x4. First the 4x4 high went out, but the 4x4 low worked. Then a few months later the low went out as well. The light, as I said, is now stuck on, but there's no clicking or movement anywhere when you press the buttons. Any help?!
  • Problems with a 1994 Ford Bronco? I'm having trouble with my 1994 ford bronco with the 351w. I have an error code that says there's a problem with the EGR. The Air conditioning is also acting up, it won't open through the front vents, but will push cold and hot air through the top ones. Gas mileage has dropped, and I also have a slight loss of power at around 40+ mph. Is this a vacuum issue? If so would anybody be able to point me in the right direction on how to resolve it? Thank y'all in advance!
