Looks like a '90, so it's basically a shortened F-150. There were no diesels available in either the Bronco or the F-150; The smallest truck that Ford put a diesel in was an F-250, 3/4 ton. The diesel available in the F-250 or larger truck was the 7.3 l V-8, so twice the size of the 3.0 you are looking for. I don't think Ford even had a 3.0 l diesel available in any truck. So, with just a bit of work, you could probably get a 7.3 into the full-sized Bronco, but I have no idea where you would find a smaller diesel that could fit. And yes, they are good trucks. Ford quit making the full-sized Bronco in '95, so 20 years ago, but I still see then running around out here in the desert.

Your reference to Shoguns suggests you are in the UK.
The obvious solutions are the Land Rover Defender (not totally reliable, but easily repaired), various pick-ups from mostly Japanese brands with Truckman or similar tops added (e.g. Mitsubishi L200, Toyota HiLux, Nissan Pickup or Navara), or (much more rare) swb versions of the Isuzu Trooper (and the identical Vauxhall Monterey), Toyota Landcruiser, Nissan Patrol.

That bronco aint exactly an econobox, and if your in the uk, you couldnt afford the fuel if you were rich lmao, it gets about what i get or less

If you think a Shogun is thirsty, you wouldn't want a Bronco. I had a 1995 Bronco for several years, it had a 5.8L petrol V8 (no Bronco ever came with a diesel from the factory). It got around 9-12 MPG (US Gallons) . The smallest engine you can get in the full sized Bronco is the 4.9L I6.

I don't think you're going to find much as the full sized SUV is more or less an American/Canadian thing (though I think there may have been some similar options available in Australia. But if you're in the UK, you're not going to find anything similar to full-sized Bronco except for a G-Wagen

Unless you can afford a land rover or G wagon I think you're SOL over there, since people in the UK aren't that big on SUV's and gas costs 4x for you what it does for us in the states.

  • Are Station wagons related to Mini Vans? I heard that the Ford D186 platform cars are Ford Windstar, Ford Taurus, and Mercury Sable. Because these three cars are on the exact same platform I think the Ford Taurus Station wagon model (1986-2007) is the smaller version of the Ford Windstar minivan. So are Station wagons a more smaller version of minivans (ex. Ford Taurus and Windstar)?
  • Are the 1994 - 1998 Ford Mustangs low to the ground similar to the Camaro? So the other day I sat in a 1995 Ford Mustang convertible (4th generation Mustang) and a few months ago I was sitting in the passenger seat of my cousins Chevrolet Camaro. Both cars are pretty low to the ground and I'm a very big guy. I couldn't fit properly and both the Mustang and the Camaro in their fourth generations. That means the Mustang in the Camaro are low to the ground completely. Is this really true about Mustangs and Camaros being lowed to the ground.
  • GMC vs Ford vs Chevrolet vans? I'm currently trying to buy a Van for my construction business needs. There are three brands which come to my mind, GMC, Ford, and Chevrolet. Which do you think it's better, GMC, Ford, or Chevrolet, in Vans category?
  • Cars similar to a ford focus? So my 2000 Ford focus just gave out and I need to start looking for another car, I really liked my Ford focus size I liked how small it was does anybody know any cars that are similar to it?
