Best Primers for Truck Frame/ Best Brands?

Hi, my father is painting a 1955 Ford F-100 Truck Frame. What is the best type of Primer to put over the bare metal frame? Also, if you recommend any brands that would be great.

Can't beat a dip in hot Zink. Galvanized

  • Will I have issues with frame twisting with this setup? 1978 Datsun 280z, LS2/T56 swap from an '05 Pontiac GTO, stroked to 427 ci, forged bottom end, heads/cam/intake, approx. 550rwhp, Ford 9" rear end, 4.10 gears, 10 inch width wheels running 275mm tires, 8 point roll cage. Looking to be able to launch a decent wheelie on drag slicks and not twist the rust free frame.
  • What are the most reliable car brands and which ones should I avoid? I'm looking to get a used car. I have even heard about two lesser known Japanese brands, Subaru and Suzuki, but I'm a bit skeptical of Suzuki in particular. I'm honestly not a supporter of Mitsubishi and Mazda. I would not say having AWD/4WD is necessary for me. It is not very snowy where I live. The reason I said that I do not like Mazda was because it used to be partnered with Ford and I do not like American car companies. I'm not so keen on German cars.
  • Is the 2013 ford mustang a unibody or frame body? I crashed my 2013 Ford Mustang GT/CS and i'm just curious if its going to be totaled. One the airbags went off and also the whole front of the car crumpled up… But the big medal frame is still good… One of the guys that picked up the car said it will probably be repairable due to the frame or unibody being intact… I want to know if its a unibody or frame built.
  • Ford F100 frame strength? I was wondering if my 1970 f100 could handle around 500ft lbs of torque or do I have to box the frame?
