Five to eight MPG. Please capitalize the brand names of cars. This is a MUST.
The Hemi Dodge is probably going have the best overall fuel economy of the engines you listed.
- What is the best transmission in a 1983 to 1994 Ford 6.9/7.3 IDI for towing manual or automatic? I seen a lot of OBS Ford 6.9 and 7.3 IDI towing with manual transmission. Very few tow with automatic transmissions. Which is better for Ford 6.9/7.3 IDI towing manual or automatic?
- After driving Ford Ranger, high mileage, 10 miles and at normal operating temp, I park overnight on level concrete floor. I check oil level? Next day before starting and when I pull dipstick out, oil level is at full mark. I wipe the dipstick clean and re-insert and check oil level again, the oil level is down about 1/8th inch or so. I check it once more and get same reading. Is the crankcase full or do I need to add some oil? Just to be clear, since this is an older Ranger with over 170,000 miles, I use high mileage oil and I check the oil level regularly. It doesn't use oil after just 10 miles of driving.
- Ford, Dodge, Toyota or Chevrolet? I'm a Ford/Dodge kind of guy. I hear the saying, "Chevy Runs Deep." Well what's gonna tow it back out? Haha. But for real, maybe throw in some fact with your answer. Mine is that the Fords came first, they're lighter, RUSTY WALLACE, and just the entire F series.
- Pennzoil High Mileage vs Castrol GTX High Mileage? My local auto store has 5 quarts of Pennzoil High Mileage for 16.99, but 5 quarts of Castrol GTX High Mileage on sale for 9.99$. Which one is better, or does it not even matter and I should just get the cheaper one? It's going in a 2002 Ford Focus ZTS with 155*** miles on it.
