Automatic car shifting problem?
I have a ford 94 aspire, took off in it and suddenly it went into like neutral. I stopped and it will go into park, BUT when I put it into drive, reverse and other gears it will not go anywhere, its like its in neutral. The gears do shift and you can see it shifting inder the hood but it doesn't go forward or reverse, only park works… So what's wrong?
CHECK the TRANS FLUID LEVEL and get a TRANS SERVICE DONE on it! GO to FORD dealership for a check up!
You need to get a mechanic to take a look.
I don't suppose you've ever bothered to check the transmission fluid, have you? If it's low, this could happen. It could also mean the transmission needs an overhaul. That will cost more than the car is worth.
- Car acceleration problem and idle problem. The car is a 2003 Ford Taurus? . When the car is running and in parked its making a loud consisted rev noise. However the rpm needle thingy is not moving. when i'm in drive the car acclerates on its own with the speed ever increasing. i did some googling and learned that it can be the TPS sensor or the idle air intake valve, among a million other possiblities.
- Shifting problems and intake problems? I drive a 1997 ford ranger with a 2.3l automatic. I have recently experienced a hard shifting in my truck even when I'm not on the gas it has problems shifting. And I cleaned my air filter and filter hose that goes to my throttle body and there was transmission fluid in the hose. What can be causing this and how can I fix it or how much will it cost roughly?
- Found transmission fluid in radioator of my ford sports trac and trans is not shifting? Replaced radiator and found trans fluid in it well after I have been driving it and now it won't move at all should I have to replace transmission or?
