Any auto mechanics out there?
Anyone know what a code 33 airbag light blinking means on a 2005 Grand Marquis GS. Is it a big deal or not? I'm being told I have to go to a Ford dealer to have it fixed or reset.
Added (1). I contact a local Ford dealer and spoke to a service tech who wouldn't say specifically the problem, but said the problem is with the passenger side airbag (he was adamant about that). He said to schedule an appointment and he can fix it, but wouldn't quote a price.
So that's my problem, I'm not disputing the importance of an airbag. I'm just trying to get some kind of ball park idea of which side it's actually on and if it's a small or big repair (money wise).
Open circuit detected on driver's side seatbelt pretensioner. A pretensioner is what locks the sealbelt in a crash, so if you consider going through the windshield in a crash a 'big deal' then yes, it's a big deal.
If you look like this… No big deal.
Tell us the whole code number. If you forgot it, have it pulled again at a car part store. The code will tell that the problem is. "33" looks like an OBD1 code and your car is OBD2.
- To all you mechanics out there? I bought a 1998 ford ranger 2.5 liter with a l4 motor. The only problem is it has a blown head gasket. Would it be possible to put a 4 liter v6 out of a 1998 ranger in without having to re wire everything and get a new computer?

- MECHANICS. I NEED ADVICE? Been car shopping for 04-05 Ford F150… I test drove 3 already… They are all 5,4 liter engines… With 130000 mile range… They all drove good but the only thing that kept me from buying was a LOUD click noise coming from the engines… Like… CLACK CLACK CLACK… But when I test drive… They all drove good… So is this normal… For the engine? I looked online… Some say its normal… Some say its a sensor… I don't know… Any advice will help… Thanks…
- Any mechanics out there? I'm trying to figure out what part this is? Its from a Ford F-150. My defrost **** the bed in my truck (Ford F-150) so my son was cleaning the lines, which were totally clogged. He found this copper fitting was totally corroded. I just need the name to ask Auto zone.
