2009 Ford Mustand - Water leaking from underneath the passenger side dashboard?
It was pouring down rain the last few days and I noticed what appears to be clear water (perhaps rain water) leaking from underneath the passenger side dash board. I used a few towels to mop up the water on the floor. Is there a fix that I, a non mechanic (me) can fix this. I just had to spend $500 on a brake job.
Does the water smell a little sweet? If so, it's engine coolant from the heater core. Replacing a leaking heater core is a big job and I always pay someone else to do it.
If the water does NOT smell sweet, it's probably condensate from the air conditioner. That would mean the drain is clogged. The drain should be a short rubber hose at the bottom of the firewall on the passenger's side of the engine compartment. Check that the hose isn't clogged.
- My buddy has a 99 Ford Ranger XLT 4x4 that is leaking oil from rear passenger wheel. Any ideas on why? The brake cover is not pushed all the way against the hub. There's a half inch gap between them. Don't know if that has anything to do with it. So it has nothing to do with the wheel bearing?
- 2008 Ford Mustang - The passenger side under the dashboard recently leaked I took it to a Firestone recently and they said I had to take it to the dealer or to Ford directly. Called Ford and they said it would be $130 just to even look at it. The dealership I bought the car from is closed for good now. Can anyone tell me if there's a way to fix this yourself rather than having it fixed? The passenger side leaks everytime it rains but it rained heavy the other day and now the carpet is flooded.
- What is that noise coming from the passenger side of my 2014 Ford Focus st? I'm hearing a metallic rubbing sound coming from the passenger side. Almost like an air leak, but more of a light metal rubbing. But I guess it could be anything. Louder with higher acceleration. Not related to wheel speed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
- Ford Focus 2004 Passenger side mirror unattached? The passenger side mirror fell off, does anyone know quick ways to temporarily reattach, even in the cold? It's only holding by a few wires. Would it damage it if I were to drive it with it hanging? (Currently an average of 20 degrees Fahrenheit)
