2005 Ford 500 with a po430 bank 1 and Bank 2?
What are the chances it's something other than the converter? Can't find a converter at the junk yard, nobody has them. Midas told me they could put on a aftermarket, but engine light might stay on because it might not meet the parameters of the car's computer. Autozone has one for $100, but I can't weld, and I think you have to weld that one on. I'm a broke driveway amateur mechanic, any suggestions?

Added (2). Just came from the shop. $600 for a converter installed. Is that a good price?

- What's now wrong with my 2005 Ford 500? 2005 Ford 500 was running fine until Ford dealer did an oil change, replaced air filter and tried to sell me $1000 more "services". Since then it has slight to severe hiccups when hitting brakes and/or when going down the road, especially on small hills.
- Bank 1 and Bank 2 too lean? I have a 2004 ford taurus. About a month ago the CEL came on, ran to advanced auto to get a code and they said my bank 2 was too lean. Yesterday, got a code run again and they said bank 1 and 2 too lean. They said it was probably my oxygen sensors. The car has developed a rough idle when first starting up and has lost some power and acceleration. I plan to take it to a mechanic soon, but until then i'm trying to find out what the problem is. Any suggestions?
- 2005 VW Golf 1.6 or 2005 Ford Fiesta Zetec S 1.6 2005? First car for a 17 year old who has just passed his licence. Both cost similar amounts for purchase and for insurance.
- 2010 ford fusion se 4 cylinder 2005 dodge stratus sxt 2.7 v6 Or 2005 ford expedition 5.4 v8? What one would you choose and why? I have a choice from these three and don't know, all are in decent shape and all need a little bit of work done (all easy work) all are available and are family vehicles. So the easy work hasn't been done because it's not entirely important.
