1996 ford tauras sometimes have hard time startting, new battery, starter, spark plugs, new fuel filter?
We really need to know how you can tell it is not starting. If the engine won't crank, it is possibly a dead battery, bad battery, loose or bad wiring, or bad solenoid or starter. If it carnks, obviously the previously mentioned parts are working good enough. It could be coolant sensor, plugged fuel filter, dirty or bad injectors. Usually old spark plugs will not keep an engine from starting. It could also be a bad fuel pump, vacuum leak, or a couple of other things.
