It depends which Mazda it is - there are some Mazdas which share parts with Fords, but without knowing which car you have it's impossible to help you.
Considering we don't know what Mazda transmission you are asking about, it is anyone's guess snowflake.
Well, the 1994 Ford Ranger and Mazda B2300 did share the M5R1 five-speed gearbox and associated clutches and hydraulics, but that's it. However, I found out - the hard way - that, unlike the Borg-Warner World Class T-5 used in exactly contemporary Mustangs, the M5R1 has no shift fork stops for Direct. The most major differences are in the axles; the Ranger uses a 220mm Visteon semi-float, the B2300 a Toyo BD21 series dropout semi-float, and differential and ring-and-pinion parts do not interchange between these designs.
- My transmission has failed due to a recalled part does Ford have to replace the whole transmission or just the recalled part? I have a 2005 Ford Freestar minivan one night when I was driving home the transmission went out on it while I was on the highway. After doing some research we found that the torque converter is a recalled part on this model. If the torque converter is the reason for the transmission failure does Ford have to replace my whole transmission as well or just the torque converter?
- Can you get a 2015 ford mustang and Chevy camaro in automatic transmission instead of manual transmission? Hi, I'm thinking about buying a 2015 ford mustang or Chevy camaro. Both of the cars come in manual transmission! Is it possible to get it in automatic transmission instead? Can I just ask the dealer (dealership) to give me the car with automatic transmission or do I have to change it myself?
