1989 Ford Probe GT Crankshaft Position Sensor #2?

I recently got my car scanned because the check engine light is on and it came back as the Crankshaft Position Sensor #2. I didn't know that '89 Probes had that sensor, and after looking around, I could not find any information on it. I'm wondering 1. If the sensor is replaceable and 2. Where is the sensor even located and 3. How to get the engine check light off.

On many older OBD1 vehicles what was called crank sensors actually lived inside the distributor.
one was a reference for each pistons position and #2 was usually counting crank shaft degrees as counted from TDC #1 being zero degrees. Remember cam spins at half the speed of the crank and two crank revolutions equals 360 degrees in this instance. (one cycle for a four stroke engine).
often times the upper distributor seal is leaking a small amount of engine oil up into distributor and the degree wheel has some oil and or is dirty. Causes supposed crank sensors to malfunction. Both sensors are using one degree wheel. There are four large holes and many small ones on the spinning plate. An LED is used to look through the holes in the plate thus counts and degreed positions are determined. Just cleaning the plate may be all you need to do.
