Hi does any1 know what the problem is with my ford transit diesel engine?
I had a flashing glow light and i was lacking power so i changed the glow plugs and this didn't fix the fault what can be wrong with the engine? Its a 06 year ford transit tipper
The next time a light starts flashing you might want to look it up in the owners manual. And if you think the glow plugs were going to take care of power lose your over your head and need to take it in to the dealer for repair.
The glow plugs have nothing to do with power. They warm the cylinder to help easy starting… That's it
- Restoring old Ford Transit. Can't get engine to start. Any ideas please? Friend is restoring 1976 Transit Diesel. Dry stored and in excellent condition. Re-conditioned injectors, clean fuel. Engine turns over valve-gear working (belt intact). Compression, fuel at injectors, no air in system engine turning over with new battery. Apparently no heater plugs on this engine (2.4). Tried eze-start just 'coughs' but will not actually start. At wits end! Any ideas please?
- I'm looking at buying a Ford Transit custom SWB High roof. However, I know there's the 250 and the 270 models available I'm a self employed plumber so I'll be carrying all my tools and power tools with numerous boxes of fittings and pipework. Should I really be concerned with over weighting the 250 model?
- I have a 1995 ford Thunderbird lx that has a V8 engine. The engine overheats fast and I can't drive it far. What might be the problem? I can only go up the road a couple of miles before I have to turn the car off and check antifreeze. Because, The antifreeze drains when I drive far, now I use water instead of antifreeze.
- Ford transit engine problem? Hi, I have a 06 ford transit pickup that I recently bought. When started its fine and as I rev it starts to smoke, I think it could be egr or a valve/ piston, because I had to reset the timing because it had jumped which could cause damage to the valves, without taking the whole engine off is there any way to know what the problem is?
