2014 Ford Focus Sync Issues?
Hi, i just bought a 2014 ford focus and i've been trying to sync my ipod to the car so i can play my music but everytime i plug it in to the usb and tell it to play it says its unsupported. I calledthe dealership and they said it is. Does anyone know how to do it? I'm having the same issue with the text message feature. It says its unsupported vut it is under my plan.
Have you tried putting your Ipod in mass storage mode (might not be called this). Check the settings on connectivity.
Same with your phone.
If this doesn't work I would ask the dealer to help as it's pretty much a brand new car.
Go into the options in your sync screen, (assuming you have the 8 inch touchscreen), go to "help", "system info" and if the software version middle number is less than 13171 then perform a sync upgrade. Google "sync my ride" and download the software package and unzip it to a flash drive then start your engine and plug it up, let it update
or just have ford do it for free under warranty

- 2010 Ford focus see Sync issue? I just got a used 2010 Ford focus. I've been trying to sync up my phone, and I've been reading on how to do it. I press the phone button and try to scroll to "add Bluetooth device" but it doesn't scroll. It just says "no phone" no matter what button I press or knob I turn. Am I missing something?
