2010 Ford focus see Sync issue?

I just got a used 2010 Ford focus. I've been trying to sync up my phone, and I've been reading on how to do it. I press the phone button and try to scroll to "add Bluetooth device" but it doesn't scroll. It just says "no phone" no matter what button I press or knob I turn. Am I missing something?

First, check Ford's website and see if you need any software updates. Second, and I know this sounds crazy, but try turning your car off and then back on again an unplugging and replugging your phone. Also, make sure the bluetooth is on on your phone.

There's a TSB for these sort of sync problems, which is corrected by installing the latest sync software upgrade. That should cost you about $60 at ford, or if you have the touchscreen, you can do it yourself by uploading "syncmyride" software from a usb stick to your car with the engine idling. However if its at the latest level, you may have a problem with your APIM (sync module) which will cost ~$150-200 in labor and at least 200 for the module. Lastly, don't rule out problems with your device
