Added (1). We bought this car about 4 years ago and I have had to have the alternator replaced 3 times. I have had alot of problems with it. Is there something else that can be wrong with my car that is causing to go bad? The first time i took it to a mechanic and he had it replaced it and it was good for about 2 years then it went bad again i went to O'Riley and got a new alternator and had it replaced. That one lasted 2 months then went bad again.

As far as that alternator problem for is notoriously known for having bad electrical problems the best thing you could do is have a mechanic check the electrical system because what will happen is the alternator is trying to charge the battery as you drive bit aomewhere it is cross circuting and the power is being transfered back to the alternator and with no relay the excess power is causing the wiring in the alternator to short
