Added (1). The wiring runs from the battery to the cab and then back to the fuel pump wiring. I have No idea what it is there for or why it is there. But w/o the flip switch in the On position the truck Will Not Start.
Sounds like something someone's " rigged - up "… For some unknown reason.
It's there because there was a problem with the fuel pump circuitry, the wiring has a short or a fault somewhere and the person decided to just bypass it rather than fix it properly
- Just bought a new truck, but wish I would have bought the Ford instead I put 8000 down and the first payment is due next week. Would it be wise to trade it just keep it for awhile?
- I bought an Actron CP9125 Code Reader to try and diagnose a rough idle at cold start on a 98 Ford 4.0 engine. The rough idle had not caused? The CEL to come on. I plugged the code reader in with just the key on and pressed read and the little asterisk goes half-way across the screen one time and stops. I press the read button again and it reads 0 codes. I was thinking it would scan multiple times to check for pending codes or other issues. I tried it with the engine running and the same thing happens. Is this code reader operating properly?
- I just bought a ford fusion yesterday, and as soon as we bought it they notified us of a recall on it? Does anyone know of other recalls on this vehicle that we need to know about? the recall they just fixed was the most recent one with the power steering
