Ford explorer towing alternatives?

So I have run into the dreaded issue with uhaul not allowing me to tow a tow dolly with a ford explorer. What alternatives do I have? I don't have abother vehicle with a hitch and I don't want to rent a truck. I'm supposed to pick up a vehicle on monday and needed a tow dolly but I forgot uhaul wouldn't rent to an explorer owner. Any suggestions?

Don't you know anybody with a different vehicle to pick it up with?

Your only option is to rent a p/u from uhaul to tow whatever you are going to tow

All down to litigation by Explorer owners against uHaul for something they had nothing to do with.
Get a friend to drop you there and drive the car back.
Get public transport there and drive back.
Get a recovery company to pick it up.
Borrow a trailer from a friend.
Lots of options.

  • Ford ranger towing capacity? Have a 2.3/5speed ford ranger xlt king cab. Would like to know what is the maximum towing capacity. Pull trailer.
  • 91 Ford Ranger towing capacity? Ok so I have a 91 ford ranger with a 3.0 extended cab xlt. Its a manual trans and it's not 4x4. So anyone know what its towing capacity is?
  • 1998 3.0L 4x4 Manual Ford Ranger towing 1500lbs with tow package? I'm not too worried about it on the freeway, how will it do on moderate uphill road? I want to buy a boat and take it up to the lake. The boat I'm looking at weighs about 900 lbs, so I'm making a liberal estimate with trailer, gear, and gas.
  • Towing capacity of a 1998 1.4L ford feista? I have a 1998 1.4L 5 door ford fiesta ghia, and have recently added a tow bar, the towing capacity is not in the user manual (although it does state that the car can be fitted with a tow bar) and different websites give different capacities… Does anyone know how much it can tow safely?
