2002 ford explorer timing chain tensioner?
I want to replace my timing chain tensioner on my 2002 ford explorer sport 4.0 4wd.
and i was wondering, i want to buy the part off of ebay and i wanted to see which brand is better,
Aftermarket OE Replacement Part or engine pro brand, the reason i want to get it for ebay is because at the stores it cost close to 75 for one. Here are the links of the items. And will these ware out faster then buying the ones from the actual store-stores sell OEM standard grade. So i'm trying to find out if i should get the engine pro or the Aftermarket OE Replacement Part brand… And will they brake faster then the original OEM standard grade ones you get from like actual stores like autozone and stuff like that?

Hi so if you think you could do this job on the cheap. Think again as it will come back to bite you later sunshine. Only a Ford dealer can do this without it stopping you by not allowing it. LIMP HOME mode and not starting at all are just two of the things this Ford computer has install for you.
- How much does it cost to get timing chain done? Recently we bought a car 08 ford crown victoria at a car auction. It had a blown head gasket and we had a friend fix it for us, he put it all together and now car won't start. He thinks he did the timing chain wrong. Was wondering how much it would cost to take it to an actual mechanic to redo the timing chain. Also he thinks one of the heads are bad so how much would that cost as well?
- How long should it take to change timing chain? The truck is a 2003 ford 150. It has three timing chains. Took it in on a Monday. He said it will be done by Wensday. But no calls. And it is now Monday and I called no answer. Should I worry now?
- Is 2600 dollars a fair price in ford for a broken rear timing chain cassette on a 2006 explorer? I took my explorer to ford and they diagnosed that the noice I been asking about is coming from a the rear timing chain cassette. So they have to pull the motor out and service the broken cassette. My problem is I'm getting charged 600 bucks for parts and I found in ford parts the timing chain kit is only 255.33 plus tax I know a couple of gaskets need to be put on but I have doubts that is 600 dollars worth in parts
