05 Ford Explorer A/C problem. What could be the issue?
I have 2005 ford explorer. My A/C compressor works my vents blow there's freon in the system. But when I turn my ac on it only blows hot air. Now I took it to pepboys and they guy said its a electrical problem with my climate control knob. Thats pretty much all he said. What could be the issue then?
The problem is the blue oval dysfunction on the front of the car. The problem will fix itslef when you trade the blue oval for a bowtie
There are 2 pipes to your compressor. A smaller diameter one pumping high pressure, hot compressed gas to your condenser (in front of your radiator) and a larger diameter one with low pressure, cold gas returning to be compressed. That low pressure, suction line should be cold and dripping wet with condensation, not warm, and not frosted. Regardless of what's going on inside the car.
You say the compressor "works", but to you, the compressor turning means it's working. To me, it's working if it's compressing low pressure refrigerant gas into high pressure refrigerant gas. Without a dual gauge set connected to the a/c system, we don't know if the compressor is "working". It's just guessing.
So what is that suction line doing? Chilly cold and dripping wet? Or no?
Answer in my Comment section, and we can go to step 2.
- 2006 Ford Ranger, lack of power and rough idling, what could be the problem? I have a 2006 Ford Ranger manual 4 x 4 sport, with 160,000 km (100,000 miles) that I bought back in August. It ran well until today. On my way to work, I drove a few blocks when I noticed when I accelerated there was little power, and it was idling rough. I drove it back home and noticed there was this black soot coming out of the exhaust. I can't have it seen until the 2nd, so I'm just looking for any insight on what the problem can be.
- I have a 1999 Ford Mustang GT and its sluggish when taking off? What could be the issue? Its sluggish on power usually only happens in the first 3 gears between 1800 and 2000 rpms. And also when I give it gas at idle it stays at 2000 rpm before idling down. 178k miles. Just changed a faulty o2 sensor. So what else could possibly making it do this. Probably plugs and coil on plugs need to be changed? If any advice it would greatly help thanks
- My 2008 2 door ford focus has started to sputter and shake.what could the problem be? At first it started shaking then a couple days later, it started to sputter. I want to take it in but scared they will charge me a fortune on other things that aren't really the problem. Any advice?
