My 2008 2 door ford focus has started to sputter and shake.what could the problem be?
At first it started shaking then a couple days later, it started to sputter. I want to take it in but scared they will charge me a fortune on other things that aren't really the problem. Any advice?
Take it to a Ford Dealer - and DON"T BUY THE INDUCTION CLEANING - if they try to sell it to you that is major BS. The dealers charge more but tend to guess a whole lot less as they see the same problems on the same cars day in and day out. You don't have much choice unless Bob-0's suggestion pans out for you.
Coil pack, spark plug, injector, ECM… Just a few suggestions. Is your Check Engine Light on?
If it is then take it to a parts store and they can pull the codes for you at no charge. That will give you soome insight to what might be going on.
- Car won't crank with a new battery and alternator it has no electrical power what could the problem be? I have a 1998 Ford Ranger XLT that has been running for months when I tried starting it earlier today it would click once then nothing. Now it has no electrical power at all.
- If I have a 2008 Mercury Mariner and have the key below could I use the standard key and remote? What I mean by standard remote and key is like the ones Ford, Mecury, and Lincoln came out with at first with just a remote and key. Also how would an extra key cost like the one in the picture above? Would it be cheaper to do the the standard key and remote?
- Had my ford transit broken into, door peeled in half, what would people recommend, van alarm or deadlocks and door strengthening? My van door was peeled in Half from top to bottom and cleared of everything inside. I'm thinking of getting an alarm that will go off if van is shaken or movement inside but I think this might be too late and the door damage done. Would I be better off getting visual locks for thief's to see then have my door reinforced inside out by my friend who's a welder.
- I'm 6'8 while being more leggy than torso, could I drive a 3 door ford focus? How far can the seat go back and is there even much legroom for the driver? Can the steering wheel be adjusted? Thank you. (Note: I never drove a car, so I'm looking for one to buy, I'm also set on getting a focus.
