Flashing green lights on a car?
Ok, so earlier I asked a question about installing police lights in a car and if it's illegal. I had multiple responses saying yes it's illegal. However, someone did mention geting flashing lights that are different colors other than blue and red. I'm making my car a "Zombie Mobile". It is a 2001 Ford Escape XLT V6 and it has these:
-Red racing stripes
-train horn
-CB radio
-Zombie/biohazard decals and emblems
-pvc pipe (sprayed black) on the windows to look like bars
-black and yellow stripes on the bottom sides to look like the caution thing.
-Racing pedals
-New black mats
-Red/black steering wheel cover
-I sprayed LM-430 in military font on the sides by the emblem that says escape
-Zombie license plate cover
-Red adhesive wrap vinyl on the interior
-Zombie/biohazard seat covers
-Blood streaks and hands prints on the sides
-zombie/biohazard lights that light up on the ground when you open the doors
-I might get a hood scoop
-And I ordered a siren
Now, are the flashing neon green lights okay to have? Is it ok to combine them with another color like red? This is all for show and I would never use them on a public road. Is have green and red or just green flashing lights on the interior on the windshield okay to have? I wouldn't see why not considering they sell them to the public on Amazon and ebay and auto places.
You might want to contact the DMV and see if any of this is legal.
You need to check your state law
You are going to get nailed for ay flashing lights, regardless of the color.
You could probably have the green lights, but you would have to be on private property to use it, you wouldn't be able to turn them on in the street. Still you might want to call the local police station and ask them about having the lights for show if only used on private property.
- Why are my blink lights / brake lights working? I have a 72 Ford f100 and the rear left turn signal, brake ligh, hazard light isn't working. The light workings for "running lights " but does not blink or light up when I press the brake. I replaced the bulb. I don't know where to start
- 99 Ford ranger XLT base model. Park lights, dash lights, and license plates lights out I checked online and realized it was probably a fuse which it is. Fuse 11 in my power distribution box. The problem is I keep replacing at and soon as I turn on my lights it blows instantly. Have replaced it multiple times. So then I looked under my truck and disconnected the wiring to my taillights and replaced the fuse, it worked it didn't blow. Dash lights and license plates lights were on so I figured some where there's a problem with the brake lights. Any suggestions?
- Headlights, instrument cluster lights, tail lights, and dome light all stopped working at once? 1995 Mustang GT convertible, fuses are good, switch is good. I'm about to do a voltage drop test on it tomorrow but I wanted to see if you Ford guys knew something that I'm overlooking.
- Candy Green on a 2014 Mustang GT? I was thinking of paining my Mustang to resemble a 2013 Laguna Seca Boss 302. But as opposed to using stock Ford paint, I was thinking Candy green and Matte Black with carbon fibre rims or Candy Brandy Whine with and Matte Black with carbon fibre rims. What do you think?
