Does a 2004 jaguar x-type have ford drivetrain? - 1

The X type was basically a Mondeo with a different body.

Yes its based on the Ford Mondeo chassis, they don't use exactly the same parts as the Jaguar is narrower and a shorter wheelbase than the Ford but underneath they are very similar, and don't expect to pay Ford prices as the Jaguar is all wheel drive and has lots of very expensive electronics to control everything.

Hi yes it does as it is actually a FORD Mondeo not a true JAGUAR.

  • Extended warranty voided on drivetrain 2015 mustang? Warranty voided due to "abuse" for racing on track. Wondering if I could trade in the mustang to a different dealership such as "Toyota" as an example and get a different vehicle… I was told I could only sell the car "as is" for a ridiculously low amount by Ford.
  • What type of differentials does a 2007 Ford Fusion AWD have? (front & back)? My Grandmother has a 2007 AWD Fusion and it is simply excellent in snowy conditions - we live in a very hilly part of PA. I just spent an hour on the internet and couldn t find an answer… From what I can gather, her car has an "on demand" AWD system meaning it has a differential between the front and back axles… MY question is what type of diffs does it have in the axles themselves (front & back)? Open or limited slip?
