Fords are famous for corroding the INSIDE of the positive ( red wire ) Battery cable clamp. Pull that clamp off the battery posts & clean both the INSIDE of the clamp and the sides of the post with a small piece of sand paper.
- Do some car batteries that would fit a 1995 Ford Taurus SW have a smaller body/core than others? I recall that the last time I had a battery installed at Les Schwab they had a rough time getting it to fit properly. Took nearly two hours. Would it be possible to ask for a battery that is physically a bit smaller this time--or are they all exactly the same size?
