Ford's "Econoline" van came out in the early 1960's and was about the same size as a VW Microbus. It grew larger over the years and became a "full sized" work and utility van. The first vehicle that Ford advertised and sold as a "Mini-Van" was the Aerostar, which was introduced in 1985.
Ford's first minivan was the Aerostar. It came out in mid 1985 as a 1986 model and went out of production after the 1997 model year. Per Wikipeida 2,029,577 of them were made, but I have no idea if that's an accurate number or not, though it does sound plausible given the 12 year production run.
In the early sixties Ford had on the market a van based on the "falcon chassis" (Ford Econline van). The Falcon was a "compact car'.
GM also developed a "van" built on the Corvair line (Corvair Greenbrier).
While not a "mini-van" because the term it's self did not come into being until Lee Iacocca used it in marketing a product pioneered earlier by VW (the bus)(note VW was not the first, but is the most well known) and employed at Chrysler. (Chrysler products 1983). Good old Lee was a flimflam artist and was great at making something sound new that was actually very old.

- Why is Ford Motor Company so racist they are canceling building a new factory in Mexico and chose to instead expand their plant in Michigan? By 700 jobs instead? What do these racists have against Mexicans? Is Ford Motor so racist they don't have any choice at all in the matter, they have to vote conservative? https://www.usatoday.com/...o6zLrdOeTk Cenj Uygur the Snarkster coming at you racist cons!
- What would i have to do to work for ford motor company? Like what classes should i take that will help me work for ford. Like test drive vehicles or design some of there cars. Anything basically
- Should Ford motor company sue Christine Ford for $1B and garnish her wages for life? I mean their good name will forever more be associated with unreliability. Instead of "Ford Tough" they'll be known as "Ford Flake".
- Is a company always made to find a solution to a problem? For example, Ford made cars in the 1900s as a solution to replace horses. Its now easier to get to where we need to be rather than taking longer. We can also say that Walmart makes it convenient to go to one place for all our needs at a low price. Rather then going to various places at higher prices. Is that always the case or can you think of a company that did otherwise?
