Why do you need a ford taurus? Get a ford focus. You don't need a full size sedan as a first car unless you plan on haulin a bunch of people in the back. Its a waste of money.
No.
Hi so another load of misery
Most people's "first car" is the best they can afford.
- How many miles a 3.0 engine in a '95 Ford Taurus should last? I've got nearly 193,000 on it now. Have been good about oil changes and most mechanical work although a few years ago I drove it for several weeks with a broken catalytic converter.
- Had my ford transit broken into, door peeled in half, what would people recommend, van alarm or deadlocks and door strengthening? My van door was peeled in Half from top to bottom and cleared of everything inside. I'm thinking of getting an alarm that will go off if van is shaken or movement inside but I think this might be too late and the door damage done. Would I be better off getting visual locks for thief's to see then have my door reinforced inside out by my friend who's a welder.
- Would you recommend for focus 2003-2006? I'm looking for a car under 5k, I see many ford focus 2003-2006 under that price with a mileage range of 90-130k. Is the focus reliable? Many of this do come with carfax so I can check their history(Sold by owners, dealer prices range from 4-7k for the same models).
- Would a ford focus 2012 with 80k miles last a long time given that i treat it right and only take it within the city from and to work? As long as the car would last me 5 years minimum but i don't know jack about cars so if i could have an expert give me a diagnosis i would gladly appreciate it
