Should I wet sand after multiple stages of dry sanding?
I'm restoring/painting my 79 ford truck. I have got the whole truck down to bare metal but there's scratches you can see when the light hits it. I'm in the process of smoothing them out using 80 grit then 180 grit then 320 grit but I'm wondering if that's gunna be smooth enough and not show any scratches after my paint job is done. I'm also using bright baby blue if that makes a difference
You will NEVER got all the surface scratches out. The surface needs some "tooth" for the primer to stick too anyways. So just hit the bare metal with some metal prep and spray the primer/filler on it. Then lightly wet sand the primer with 400 grit followed by 600 grit. Any deep scratches in the primer can be filled with primer putty. If you have a lot of scratches you need another coat of primer. When you get the primer coat smooth enough that you're happy wipe it down with grease and wax remover and shoot your base color coat.
- Why did Christine Ford not change her wet swimsuit before coming to the party? She said that she had been swimming and practicing her dives at the pool when the invite to the party came, and so she had her one-piece swimsuit on under her clothes. But why she didn't change her wet swimsuit into her dry underwear after swimming? Did she go to the pool in a swimsuit? Did she wear her clothes on a wet swimsuit?
- Should Ford be studied for her ability to not remember details about her trauma after 13,000 days. But after 6 days with her lawyer? Her memory during her drunken stupor becomes crystal clear? Could Ford's techniques be used with alzheimer's patients, the elderly, and other drunks who experienced "black outs?"
- Is a 2005 Ford Mustang bad on wet roads? I'm getting a 2005 mustang for my very first car do you think I should or get something els I've been dreaming of this care for a couple years now and I really want it but I want my safety first
- Ford 300 starts smoking from oil cap after 1 minute of runtime and radiator smells like a wet fire pit? It was running fine then it started acting hard to start off and smoking a little so I figured oil. Put some more in and it straightened up for a mile or so then started acting up worse. It began to have a knocking noise like an old diesel tractor. I don't understand what it is because it starts up just fine but won't run for more than a minute before it starts pudding and knocking. Also there are tiny pieces of rust chunks in the radiator and it smells like a wet fire pit.
