Should I replace my bad air conditioner pump?
So I just took my 2004 Ford Tauraus into the shop. I have about 155,000 miles on it. I was told as part of the repairs that my air conditioner pump was bad, and that I should have it repaired, as it would affect my power steering and battery. The total cost of the repair and the part I was told would be $1100, money that I do not currently have and that I would not like to dip into my 401K for. My question is if this repair is absolutely necessary, and if I don't get it fixed can I still drive the car as long as I don't use the AC.
Yes.
- How to fix a car air conditioner? I have a 2001 ford taurus and last time I put some of the air conditioning suppliments in the car it lasted about 5 minutes so I think theirs a leak in a tube or something I don't know much about cars but want to get started so I can get a car fixing career going on and this will be my first project. So what do you guys think I should do is it a leak and if it is what should I replace?
- Bad fuel pump or bad Mass Airflow sensor? My truck us having very hard time starting up. It cranks over, putters and shakes really bad then dies. Once it finally becomes drivable, it almost stalls when accelerating from a stop or turning right Could this be a bad fuel pump, bad MAF, or another failing part? Truck is a 2006 ford ranger
- On my 2000 ford mustang why does my air pump (smog pump) only blow air for 5 seconds after start up? Is that normal? I have p0411 secondary air injection system insufficient flow detected. I've checked the hose that comes out from the pump, it's blowing air but I believe it should blow air for much longer than 5 seconds on start up.
- I have a 2006 ford explorer xlt. It heats up when I turn the Air conditioner on? I have replaced the radiator, thermostat, fan clutch, fuel sensor and had the gasket seals changed, and it still heats up. Any idea?
