Should I get my AS Degree in ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING OR MECHANICAL ENGINEERING if I want to work in advanced manufacturing?
I already have a bachelors degree in international Business.
I want to add more skills to my background obtaining an Associates in applied Electrical engineering or mechanical Engineering.
I would like to work for Ford or GE as an Engineering specialist or as an Automation Engineer or Tech for any company that pays decently.
What would be the best route?
I would get the bachelors in engineering but I don't have the money I chose a bad degree and it didn't get me many job prospects, now I'm more interested in STEM so I have no choice but to get the 2yr degree that I can afford out of pocket. I looked on Fords website and the job I want requires a BA in anything with engineering tech background 1-2 yrs and I'm already working for a manufacturing company in the maintenance dept
For a bright future you should be looking at SIEMENS. For an electrical engineer
There can be challenges to getting an engineering job. I know 2 people that got the ME degree and took forever to find a job because they have no experience.
To obtain higher pay, you need a PHD rather than just a BC or BE or both. Go for a Master degree first.
An AS degree will not get you very far. You can get a job as a Technician then go for a Bachelors.
The two year degree will be of marginal help to your career as your research into Ford has shown you already. Have you talked to the people you work for now?
- Physics/ Mechanical Engineering Help?! A Ford Ranger with a mass of 2430 kg is traveling at a velocity of 85 mph down a mountain road. The brakes fail and the driver elects to use a "run away" truck ramp to stop the vehicle. The ramp has an incline of 15.0 degrees. What is the minimum length the ramp must be in order for this strategy to stop the truck? Neglect friction and air resistance.

- Which Ford car has advanced safety features? I saw a tv commercial for a Ford car that has blind spot detection, self parking, and automatically brakes if you get too close to a car. I'm not sure if it was the Ford Fusion or the Ford Focus.
- Want new headlights for my car, don't want the blue tint to the lights? I have a 2006 Ford Fusion I want to get new headlights I don't really know the difference between halos HIDs or LEDs or if there even is a difference. I'm looking at replacing the whole headlights not just the bulbs but I notice some newer headlights have the blue tint to them I want to stay away from that.
