My Ford Ranger is getting an interior detail. How long do you think it'll take?
I have never had a detail before. I'm just getting the interior detailed. I took it in today and they said they'd call me when it's done. It has been roughly 4 hours. Is this normal?
Yes. You should get a call pretty soon
No they should have it ready in 1 hour.
Hopefully, you have found one of the rare detail shops that actually knows what it means to detail a vehicle. People like Madero assume that it involves no more than running a vacuum through the vehicle and spraying a little Windex on the windows.
Hopefully, they're doing this right, down to partially dissasembling the interior in order to get every last bit of dirt out of every last corner. They should be conditioning the dash, shampooing the floormats, removing old registration adhesive from the inside of the windshield, and getting all the schmutz out from the cracks in your turn signal and windshield wiper controls.
Or, they've got other vehicles ahead of you and they're going to half-*** it.
- You can have any color you want, as long as it's black? What does that mean? I've seen this a couple of times in places. I know Henry Ford said, but what exactly does it mean?
- Would a long travel suspension kit built for a Ford Ranger Edge/Sport also fit on a Ranger XLT? I found a long travel suspension kit made for a 2002 ranger edge/sport but I have a XLT same year. Would it still fit on and function the same?
- I'm getting my cdl next year, is it better to have experience driving a bigger vehicle before i get my cdl? I'm getting my class a cdl? I'm going to get a job driving a ford f450 dump truck hauling an excavator on a 20ft equipment trailer… I believe that if i have experience driving a bigger vehicle w/ or w/o a trailer will help, is this true
- How long should transmission swap take on 2001 ford focus wagon? I have a 2001 focus wagon that the transmission suddenly lost reverse after being towed… Anyhow i've bought a parts car for it and have been quoted for doing the transmission swap from the parts car… How many hours should something like that take? What would a fair price be from a common autoshop mechanic for labour only? Please and thank you!
