Is it worth it to upgrade my ignition system?
So I'm wanting some more power out of my 99 ford ranger. I know that one can get a better coil pack and hotter spark plugs to increase performance. But there are also a lot of other details that need to be considered. Like how hot my spark needs to be can be determined by the fuel mixture and how fast it is exhausted and all that. Then the possibility of it not being good on the engine to have that extra energy delivered to it. I was wanting to find a coil pack that had a high output along with maybe some e3 spark plugs to obtain more power/energy/performance than what my stock set up can do. But I didn't want to get one that wouldn't really do anything because I know that my truck has what it needs to run well, bc it needs a certain voltage/power deliverance and it is most likely getting that. I just didn't know if it could work with more. I also didn't want to do any damage with an upgrade. Please share your knowledge and advice with me. And can you recommend any products/setups/upgrades that will be good.

Put cams and a cat back exhaust on it if that's what you want.Don't use different brands of spark plugs. Motorcraft came from the factory!
The cost effectiveness of an ignition up-grades for engines that are turning less then ten grand rpm wise just isn't there.
Check forums at Grassroots Motor Sports. Different spark plugs can make about the same difference. Check the dyno tunes and see what they report.

- Does the 101a Sync 3 Package in the Ford Mustang upgrade the sound system? I know it adds 3 extra speakers but is the sound system or sound quality any better than the base sound system?
- 2001 Ford KA sound system upgrade? I've just bought a ford KA and want to get a sound upgrade for it, although I know nothing about cars. I don't want to get a subwoofer but I don't know what my other options are. I've been looking at stereos but will this actually improve the sound or is it just there to look cool? - How to remove ignition switch Cylinder from 98 ford crown victoria if the ignition cylinder is stuck? I have a 98 crown Victoria. And i used a wrong key by mistake yesterday and now my actual key won't work. I've tried removing the ignition lock cylinder but any video i watch on Youtube tells me to turn the key to replace ignition lock cylinder but i can't do that because its jammed. I've tried jiggling the steering wheel and turning the key but no luck. Pretty sure its the ignition lock cylinder but i can't get the damn thing out without turning the key
