Mileage is less important than how the vehicle was maintained. My daily driver has almost 800,000 miles on it, only one engine rebuild. Runs perfectly and looks great.
Maintenance is much more important than the mileage. If a car is well maintained then it'll be okay even after doing 2,00,000+ miles. But if a car is ill maintained it'll get totaled after 20000 miles. So before buying the car take a mechanic to check the car out. Ask the owner how often he took it for servicing. Notice the little details on the car. You'll know a well maintained car when you see one.
- My 2012 Ford Ranger has 400,000 miles on it how much would it sell for? The car is up to maintenance and everything it's pretty much brand-new except it only has 400,000 miles on it no scratches no damages perfectly know how much would a go for
- I have a 97 Ford Ranger, 4.0, in good shape, 102,000 miles and it doesn't start as well as I think it should. It cranks strong, and has new? Motorcraft plugs and fuel filter. I've cleaned the MAF sensor and throttle body and the truck runs fine and there's no misfire. Maybe I'm expecting too much, but I think the truck should start when I turn the key instead of having to crank 2-3 times. I've also installed a new IAC valve. Any suggestions on how to get the truck to start better?
- How much is a 2000 ford ranger with 170,000 miles and 3 inch body lift worth? It is a stepside, extended cab. It has a few probs… Window on drivers side doesn't work… Electric windows… And the tires are kinda bald… It also has a slight oil leak somewhere… It always leaves little dots of oil when it is parked. It does burn any oil at all though. What would it be worth you think?
- Have 98 Ford Ranger, 4.0, 171,000 miles, auto trans with limited slip. I've owned truck since new and have changed trans fluid every 30-35 000 miles and have never towed anything. The majority of the 171,000 miles are interstate driving. The truck shifts fine with no jerking or slippage. What I do get is thump(s) in rear end when I come to a stop, as gears are downshifting. Do I need a new transmission? Any suggestions? I suppose it's a "clunk" I hear and feel when I come to a stop, not a thump.
