Powerstoke or duramax?
I'm looking at buy I a new 2017 1 ton truck. I'm torn between a ford or a gmc. Which truck will be more reliable, Better mpg, etc. The two dealerships I have been to are about the same price.
Get a Tesla
Ford has it over GMC for reliability.
Duramax 6.6 turbo hp 445 at 2800 RPM, torque 910 lbs at 1700 RPM 13 mpg city 17.8 highway. It has the very strong 6 speed alllison with 3.73 rear gears
ford 6.7 turbo hp 440 at 2800 RPM, torque 925 lbs at 1800 RPM but you can't use it all because ford limited its power until your in 3rd gear it also has 3.55 rear gears it gets 14 mpg city 18-22 highway depending on who your talking to of course ford hasent put the mpg numbers out because no one expects good mileage from a truck like that but fords words on the subject wer "Unsurpassed power - and fuel economy. A winning combination." It also has a 6 speed transmission but it's pretty new
Look at the Dodge Ram.
Choose the one that you like. The old Powerstrokes had a lot of injection pressure issues but Ford seems to have fixed it.
I have heard about a lot of problems with the duramax, i think i would go with the power stroke.
If you would settle for a gasser, get the GM. If you insist on diesel, get a Ram. The Ford and GM diesel engines aren't worth a flying ^&*(.
- Wich is stronger chevy duramax 3500, dodge 3500 cummins or the ford f4500 diesle? I know it says their stuff on the website but witch is strongest. Because ignoring the stuff on their sites witch is strongest. I know chevy has the steel frame too
