Why won't the high beams work on my car?
I just bought a 2012 ford mustang and everything works perfectly except for the high beams. Low beams, parking lights, turn signals, fog lights all work. The person I bought the car from did have EMT lights put in and removed them before selling me the car. Is it possible he messed something up when removing the EMT lights? If not what could the problem be?
Tell a mechanic your woes. It is a wiring issue. He has to see it to fix it.
Have you checked the fuses?
Burnt out high beam elements in the bulbs are the first thing to check!
Did they take the headlight relay out and fail to put it back in the engine compartment fuse box?
I would look at the wiring to the high beam and how it relates to the EMT lights. He may have run the EMT lights off the high beam circuit and failed to reconnect the wires to the high beams.
CAR
Replace the front beams and they'll work.
- Why does my car rev high all the time and drive without me touching the gas? It revs at stop lights and when sitting idle at drive throughs, and when I'm driving highway speed. It'll rev up to almost 3000 rpms especially in idle. It is a ford Taurus 2005 with 99,700 mi on it.
- Why Won't My Truck Heat Work? I have a 1995 Ford Ranger 2.3 that has NO Heat. I have replaced the heater core, heater valve, thermostat, blend door & actuator, checked all vacuum hoses too. The engine seems to get warm, the indicator does not go up to normal, one hose to the core is cool. It's a nice truck except for this issue. Any clues?
- Why is my car insurance so high? I'm a 41 year old guy that lives in London with a EU license for over 20 years. I have been in the UK for about a year and I'm shocked that I just got enough money to buy a Audi Q7 2012 and checked my insurance that it's 150 a month! My friend pays 40GBP a month for a 20111 BMW, i don't understand? I checked my insurance on a Ford Focus and it is still at 130GBP a month, any ideas?
- Pennzoil High Mileage vs Castrol GTX High Mileage? My local auto store has 5 quarts of Pennzoil High Mileage for 16.99, but 5 quarts of Castrol GTX High Mileage on sale for 9.99$. Which one is better, or does it not even matter and I should just get the cheaper one? It's going in a 2002 Ford Focus ZTS with 155*** miles on it.
