What year did FoRd introduce the Mustang?

It has been in continuous production since 1964.

Midway through the '64 model production.

64 & 1/2 is what they called it because that was its release.
The taurus and explorer were also released half year.
Newer fords go by build date though, and the ol mustang kept its name by its release date.
Frankly, that was all that was special about it at first except they remarked it was just a "cute Falcon" at the factory when the top br *** looked at it for the first time, so the story goes.

Hi that was back in 1965 as were saw last night when one of the top gear guys james may put it up against our own version the ford capri. What he failed to understand the original ford capri was first produced here in the united kingdom back in 1960.
so like everything those boys do it was full of errors as they always get it wrong.
the Fords have been always the quick and good handling unlike your fords which handle like a three legged camel who is drunk.

1964

Late 1964… It's why the very first cars are refereed to as 1964.5 or sometimes rounded up and included as part of the 1965 model year

!965 as a 1965 & 1/2 model.

1964 1/2 I think definitely ended in a half maybe 1965 1/2

1964.

As the mustang is celebrating its 50th anniversary after being unveiled to the public in the spring of 1964 as ford spent thousands on getting airtime on all three television networks at the same time on April 16 of that year to entice people to visit their local ford dealerships to try out the new "pony car". As ford had set goals as to how many mustangs they sold as sales shattered the goals.

At the World's Fair in Flushing Meadows, New York, on April 17, 1964.
