15-17 seconds, they were never made to go fast so if were expecting to turn it into a speed machine on the cheap you're SOL.
And to add to your comment if you want to supercharge it then YES you would have to rebuild the engine given the 3.8L's are junk but the cost to do that would be so much and have such little return it just make getting a GT even more practical

It runs fine just doesn't shift into fourth gear and the transmission light does come on after a while of driving it. I was wondering if it would be ok to take it on a 700 mile round trip drive? I know its not good for it I just need to know if I'm going to be stranded on the highway somewhere because my trans went out.

When I drive my car it's hard to always keep it filled up being a college student, however, if I let the fuel gauge drop below a 1/4 of a tank all sorta of crazy stuff happens. First of all and most important my car dies! It will sound like it's being starved of gas and bog out.
