Is a 2014 Mustang v6 a nice first car?
Hi, I'm 15 right now and I get my permit in about 6 months, and I've been looking at cars and I really like the Ford Mustang 2014. I almost have enough money saved up for it with chore money and money that I earned helping my dad's company. I was wondering if this car is a nice first car? I was also wondering if I should save up more money for the upcoming 2015 Mustang, seeing how it is better on gas and performance. I'm either getting the 2014 v6 or the 2015 v6, because my dad says a gt is too much power for a 16 year old. Any suggestions?
I own 2013 V6 mustang and it is technically my first car because I paid for it. But I'm 19, not 15 years old. My first car was an old ranger pickup truck that belonged to my dad,.so I drove that for 3 years. To be honest, you should debate between the 2014 v6, and the 2015 V4 ecoboost. This 2015 ecoboost will have more power and more torque than the v6, while saving even more gas than the v6. But it is 7,000 dollars more expensive. In my opinion, the 2014 v6, much like my 2013 v6, isn't that great on mileage. Don't go by the epa mpg numbers. I'm honestly getting about 18 city, 20 combined, and 28 highway. So that is not that good. The v4 ecoboost is going to be amazing, but personally I like the visual appearance of the 2014 better. However, regardless, both the 2014 and 2015 have a lot of power even for a v6. So make sure you get a lot of practice and get used to the car before going really fast. But in my opinion, aren't you a little young to be buying practically a brand new car?
No you should get a car that is 20 or 25 years old and work on it all week so you can drive it on the weekend like the children of the 1970s and 1980s did
It's a nice car but as a mustang fan and owner myself I will tell you a mustang IS THE LAST car you should get if you've just started driving. Mainly because insurance will be through the roof and with your lack of experience even if the car didn't have 300HP (like the 2011+ V6's do) you would probably still be able to get into trouble with it
- Sub has no highs but play lows nice? So I had my 500 watt alpine amp with Rockford punch 12" in my hyndai with a head unit and it hit the highs and lows perfect. Now I transferred the same sub and amp to my Ford Taurus only using a converter so I can play it off my stock radio. The lows hit so nicely but there's like no highs at all.what's up with that?
- Do some people really care that much about driving a really nice car? My dad is perfectly okay with his 1992 Ford Taurus with 210,000 miles on it, no heat (he lives in Chicago btw), no A/C, and a f::::ked up passenger side door. He's not poor by any means, he's a CFO of a bank. He just says that driving that P. Builds character and he only cares about having a car that can take him from point A to point B.
- Nice cars for teen around 7,000 or lower? Fairly large cars, preferred brands, jeep, ford, hummer, ram, manly cars lol. Please give me your suggestions. And for date wise nothing below 2009.
