How old a mustang? Does it have a computer in it? 24v is a aircraft battery. We use to use them in the winter to start cars. As they spin the starter much faster. Then go back to the 12v. They heat up the starter very fast. So could only be used 15 seconds max. To start a vehicle. That was the old days before computers & vehicles with carbs. Today that extra heat should fry the more sensitive electronics in a vehicle. Or in the old days we would have 2 12volt battery's for 24v. For quick start after we ran down the 12v battery in the vehicle. You got some extra spark also with 24v. So you could not drive the car. Just quick start it on those extra cold days. Even back then it could burn the points up fast.
You need a transformer. 
Only if you have a reducer in the system. The starter is a 9volt starter in the Mustang and it will be burned up in days, the coil is 12 volt as is every thing else, you will burn every thing out if you use it. Very Dum move!

So when changing a Puddle Light in my 2002 Ford Taurus I hit the wire that connected the lighting and lighting case to my mirror. Something sparked and my interior lighting, glove box lighting, and mirror lighting is not working. Is this something as simple as a fuse?

My question is can a 2007 ford ranger XLT 4.0 v6 5 speed manual sustain speeds of 85-90 mph or is that pushing the limits of this truck?
