How to install AUX input in 2001 Mustang?
I have a 2001 Ford Mustang base model. It is a factory radio with a CD and cassette deck. I would like to install an aux port and I know it is possible because I have seen people use adapters on the back of the deck. There's an adapter for sale but it only works if the radio has a CD changer but mine is only able to house one CD. I also don't have a SAT button to wire into. I don't want to pay a professional to do it as I'm pretty sure i can do it myself if given the correct materials. Can anyone point me in the direction of an adapter or another way to wire in an AUX cord. I'm not looking for transmitters, modulators, or a cassette adapter. All of those reduce sound quality and overall experience of the music.
So you don't want any modulators, but yet, you know the direct adapters for the Mustang won't work in your particular car… So what exactly do you think is left?
- Ford mustang 2017 v6 aux locate? So I just got new ford mustang 2017 v6, I'm having hard time to find auxiliary input port. If it doesn't come with it, where can buy an outlet for the plug? It has SYNC system head unit.
- No aux input on 2014 Ford Fusion Hybrid? I just rented a 2014 Ford Fusion Hybrid and there doesn't seem to be a hole for the aux cable? I opened the center console and there's a white hole, a yellow hole, and red hole. The aux cable doesn't fit into any of them. What's going on here? Is there any place else I can find it? There's no one to help me at this time. The car rental locations close by are closed and I have a 6-hour drive ahead of me through the middle of nowhere.
- Why does my car have an aux button but no aux jack? I have a 2007 ford focus and I have an aux button in my car but I don't see an aux jack anywhere, why is that? Or is it hiding somewhere?
- How to turn on the AUX input on a Ford Focus 2014? So all manuals say to press the "aux" button but there isn't one. I found the actual input but all the buttons to the left are "radio, media, phone, sound, menu"
