Does a car lose power after a crash?

There was two lanes to turn left onto a freeway ramp. I was on the right lane as I was turning the truck on my left didn't see me and clipped my front left fender and clipped my front left fender and ripped my bumper off with the back of his truck. After the crash my car hasn't been the same. The engine feels different and makes noises sometimes. The clutch feels more rough now and makes louder noises when I change gears. The car feels weaker over all but none of the service lights or check engine lights are on or anything like that. I have a 2013 Ford Mustang GT by the way.

Maybe

have it checked out

ideally stop driving it

Hi usually it doesn't the driver becomes less confident.

From your description there are several things, not engine related, that could be causing the car to be slower. It really does need a major inspection and best not to drive it until that has been done as you cold cause even more problems

  • Why do some cars lose acceleration when the A.C is on? Like in my 2007 Versa Sedan SL, I have to turn the AC off when merging on the highway otherwise it feels like driving a Ford Model T. But my 2010 Odyssey, and 2017 Rogue can drive perfectly with the AC on. Heck on the Rogue I can drive on ECO and still merge fine on the highway.
  • Can I fix my 2014 car to supply power after I turn off ignition? I have a 2014 Nissan Rogue Select and when I turn off the ignition I lose power to the radio and anything plugged into the cigarette lighter ports. My 2008 Ford Escape let the radio play for 20 minutes and let things keep power/charging that were plugged in. I liked that feature and would like to see if its possible to "fix up" my newer car like that?
  • Does Bill Weld's candidacy for president mean Donald Trump will lose re-election? Gerald Ford lost the 1976 election to Jimmy Carter after Ronald Reagan challenged him in the Republican primary. Carter lost re-election to Reagan in 1980 after he was challenged in the Democratic primary by Ted Kennedy. George H.W. Bush lost re-election to Bill Clinton in 1992 after Pat Buchanan challenged him in the Republican Party. Will Trump face the same fate because of Weld's candidacy?
