Adding ford diesel turbo to 3v 4.6l Ford Mustang 2006 V8 gt?

Would this b difficult to do?

Try "impossible." If that's too many syllables, try "stoopid."

Yes. First off the mounting points are different, the weight distribution is different and the torque curve is different. You would also have to replace the transmission because a diesel has a narrow RPM band and transmissions made for gas engines have a broad RPM band. Secondly, the engine will probably cost more than the car is worth. Lastly, You still have pollution control standards to meet and the diesel will not do it.

Hi what put a smokey old diesel in a mustang. You must be crackers.

  • Adding a hitch to a 2001 Ford taurus SE? I know this isn't ideal but is it realistic to pull 1-2 canoes on a small trailer using your Ford Tarus SE?
  • Can I save money by adding hho to my 1990 ford ranger? I always see these water generators online that claim if you add this to your already fuel burning vehicle it would make it more efficient. I love my little ranger but gas is so expensive and I drive long distances. It just doesn't seem like it could actually work or more people would be doing it right? Are the kits hard to put in? Is it worth my time/money? Will I actually save or is this just what they are claiming?
  • 0-60 time for a 2006 ford mustang with 7lbs of turbo boost? I'm about to buy a 06' mustang gt automatic with a single turbo that has 7lbs of boost. It has 450 hp. I'm basically wondering what the 0-60 time might be and the quarter mile and maybe top speed. This is a picture describing things it has.
  • F250 7.3 turbo diesel vs dodge cummins 6.7 or 24 valve? Who would win in a chain pull I drive the 7.3 and my buddy is a die hard cummins fan and believes his dad's cummins would pull my ford all over. What would actually happen.
