Being only a year apart and in good mechanical condition, consider the miles each has and then choose.

I always say it depends upon the NUT behind the steering wheel.

As this is a personal choice nobody give you a definitive answer. Much will depend on cars condition. Service history. Any accident damage and vibes you get when looking at one.
both have admirers. Both have many whom also are not best admirers. So essentially it is down to you to select a car to suit your desires and hopefully needs and pocket.
ideally have somebody with you whom is knowledgable about each. Or hire a mechanic to check it over. The difference in cars is not just body shape and a test drive ought to be part of checking it out.
personally, I'd opt for the Mustang but would be close and only a check in eh flesh so to speak would decide. One car may be superb in all ways .another scratched. Dents? Poor service etc or just not give that feel right factor.

If you're just going to wax it every weekend, either will do the job, BUT if your first thought is to pop the hood & tinker, the Mustang has way more aftermarket support.
