If Ford and her lawyer back out from the interview will they be held in contempt?
If Ford and her lawyer back out from the interview will they be held in contempt?
Doubtful. But they will schedule the vote almost immediately.
No. I don't think that violates any laws
I don't think so. It seems really odd that the senate can subpoena people if they choose, yet they are "negotiating" with this woman over the "terms" of her "testimony". I think it is all rather melodramatic. If any of it even happened 36 years ago, they were both minors in high school.
She ought to be sued for defamation of character!
Only by people who believe "innocent until proven guilty."
I believe that any interview is voluntary, so no.
- Should Ford be studied for her ability to not remember details about her trauma after 13,000 days. But after 6 days with her lawyer? Her memory during her drunken stupor becomes crystal clear? Could Ford's techniques be used with alzheimer's patients, the elderly, and other drunks who experienced "black outs?"
- Party of women took a woman who wanted annonymity and outed her, now her life is ruined. All fine if they get their political wish? Pretending they give a flying fug about Christine Ford is a level of hypocrisy that is unmatched in modern history. Its 100 percent polictics and too f'ing bad for her.
- Is the FBI waiting to interview Ford until they have more info, or avoiding interviewing her because they don't wnat to interview Kavanaugh? If they interview Ford, they will have to interview Kavanaugh as well. Are they avoiding it because they don't want to put Kavanaugh in further legal jeopardy?
- Ford said under oath that she didn't know the Senate Judiciary Committee offered to interview her in California. Her attorney wrote? To the committee before her testimony: "Dr. Ford has asked me to let you know that she appreciates the various options you have suggested". Who is lying Ford or her attorney or both?
