It's simple. She isn't telling the truth, and if she testifies under oath she'll perjure herself.
She nuts (she's a liberal), but she's not stupid enough to perjure herself.
She's not refusing to testify. She is asking for the FBI to investigate her claims before she testifies. If she were lying, why would she want the FBI to investigate?
And why is trump refusing to re open the background check so the FBI can investigate?
The hearing is a joke. It would be like walking into a snake pit.
She might do it. She could also file charges in Maryland.
Her lawyers said she will testify. It the politicians who are saying that she is refusing to testify on the day they want. They are saying Wednesday and her people are saying Thursday.
Btw it's not set up like a court, it's an informal inquiry. The women in the senate says her statements are crucial to their votes.
Just because she thinks something happened, doesn't mean it did happen. Liberals are kinda' like that.

Lie detector tests are not reliable, and not admissible in court. ANY psychopath can easily beat a lie detector. PLUS, it's entirely possible that Ford is telling what SHE believes to be the truth, but is completely mistaken about what Really happened nearly 40 years ago.
