How rare is the Ford 500?

I recently bought a Ford 500 SEL. Before I bought it, I looked up the make & model on CraigsList to get an idea of its value, and I only found 2 of them for sale.
Is the 500 a rare or hard to find car?How rare is the Ford 500 - 1

Well, since I was online when I wrote the question, I decided against being a lazy palooka and looked up the 500 on Wikipedia.
The 500 replaced the Taurus from 2005-2007, so it only saw three years of production. There aren't that many for sale on CraigsList because there aren't that many, period.

There was a Ford Fairlane 500 in the 50s that is a rare and collectible car:

As for the more recent Ford 500 circa 2005-2007, it was an interim replacement for the Ford Taurus, and when the Fiat 500 was coming out around 2008, Ford decided that Taurus was a more brand identifiable name and rebranded the 500 as the Taurus in 2008.

It's average. I don't see them all the time but, I don't never see them.

They only made them for two years, but the 2008 Taurus is basically the same car with a bigger engine. The 500 got a bad reputation for the CVT used in some models and the relatively weak performance compared to the V6 models of the Altima, Camry, and Accord.

The CVT-equipped models tend to have lower resale value that the ones with the 6 speed automatic.

The 500 isn't what you would call rare other than limited from its 3 year production run. As far as the car itself goes its was based on a Volvo chassis, marketed as Ford's replacement for the Taurus which reappeared when the 500 was discontinued. I owned one and found it to be a very comfortable road car with ample extras. To be considered rare it would have to have a high demand and as you can tell from some of the other responses that's not the case.
