Why is the 2015 Toyota Camry so expensive?
Why is the new redesigned 2015 Toyota Camry so expensive? Aren't Toyota cars supposed to be made affordable for poor people? But those even the used ones are more expensive than a Ford Fusion of the same year. They charge a lot for those Japanese cars I wonder why. You will never see a Toyota Camry of the year 2012 selling for less than 12000$ but you can buy a used 2015 Chrysler 200 for that price. Also I studied the Toyota car brand a lot and with those cars the higher amount of mileage doesn't seem to have any impact on the price. I also noticed that used 2015 Toyota Camry are harder to find than a used 2015 Chrysler or Ford Fusion only 1 Dealership out 5 may have one and they charge arm and leg for it. The car isn't even that attractive.
Because ford and Chrysler are sh*t. Nobody ever said they are for poor people. You must have a bad job if you can't pay a 12,000 car.
You get what you pay for.
If you want a Chrysler 200, go buy one. Just compare the consumer reviews an you will see why they don't have great resale.
Reliability…
You can buy a 3 year old Toyota with a decent mileage, and expect it to be "like new" and go for a MANY more miles.
Given the choice I"d buy a 3 year old Camry VS a 1 year old Ford, for the same money. Because in 100k more miles, the Toyota will still be going strong.
Toyota have never been "poor peoples" cars. They may have a reputation for being unexciting, even a bit boring. But look after them and they keep running. That makes them a smart persons car.
Ask yourself why someone is selling a one year old Ford Fusion, but few people are selling 3 year old Camrys?
FORD IS A BETTER BUY FOR YOUR MONEY
Hi Now where did you ever get the idea Toyota make cars for poor people. As this is not true. They actually make a prestige make of car like Mercedes and BMW. So having cleared that load of nonsense up.
lets explain that a ford is a peoples make of car. Not in the same class for reliability even.
so it is an expensive car with loads of refinements and far more reliable for instance My second toyota land cruiser is now 8 years old it has never let me down, having own over 10 cars in my life the same can't be said of the 5 ford cars i had from new they would need at least 2-3 new gearboxes in the first 3 years of life.
The Camry is a very high quality and reliable car. It isn't made for poor people. It's made for people who want a car that will serve them well for 200,000 miles or more.
Well, if you go by sticker price, the Camry is more expensive, but not by much. Here in SoCal, you can buy an LE for around $20-22K on sale at many dealers. I'm not talking about last year models or one onlys either. Fusions aren't any cheaper out here. In fact, they cost more, and they have recalls on them. The Camry is a better built car and as such, it costs more to build one than a Fusion. By the way, the Camrys we have here in the US are made in Kentucky, by Americans, and it's still a top notch vehicle. So Ford's issue with build quality is the company's issue, nto the American worker. Yeah, the Fusion is nice enough and even looks nicer, but I'd still by the Camry.
- Are there any 2014.5 Toyota Camry's? I learned and do know that there was a Ford Mustang which was a thing in the past for years with a or.5. Are there any cars labeled as 2014.5's?
- What is the best used car to purchase, Camry, Corolla, or Fusion? Around 2015-2017? Looking for a newer used car, and I just can't decide. I keep hearing Fords suck, but then again they're rated high in the magazines. And Toyota's are great, but how can I decide between a Camry or a Corolla? It. Just me, no family, but I like storage space, I know the corolla is smaller, but it's bigger than my older camry!
- Looking to get a used car around 2014-2015, Camry, Corolla, or Fusion Hybrid? I had a 2008 camry hybrid but some lady totaled it. Loved that car, but I always thought it was a little too big, although the storage space was great. Now I'm looking to get a new one, I like all three… I don't want another hybrid really, but the Ford Fusion Hybrid looks real nice with better gas mileage than my Camry hybrid did…
- Ford Fusion, Honda Accord, or Toyota Camry? I'm deciding between the ford fusion, Toyota Camry and Honda accord (all 2014). This might sound lame, but which car is 'cooler.' They're all similar in price and efficient for what I'm looking for. I don't really know much about cars so I'm afraid ill buy a grandma-like car.
