2011 BMW M3 vs 2014 Audi S4?

I'm in the market for a new car. I recently got a new job where I have to turn in my company car (Ford Fusion) and can finally get a car I enjoy driving. I have narrowed my list down to a few key suspects and 2 of which are listed above.

I will be moving to upstate NJ where the winter's can get a bit dicey at times. I'm debating between a 2011 BMW M3 with ~20-30k miles or a new 2014 Audi S4. With the BMW being RWD and the Audi AWD I'm feeling like the Audi would be the better choice for daily winter driving. Although I know both can survive the winter with proper snow tires.

I would like to get input on this choice as I believe the BMW M3 will be more fun in the sport driving sense, while the Audi would probably be more logical as a daily driver. Another thing to consider is the Audi will be roughly $10,000 more…

Drive both, then decide.

ANYWAYS, a BMW is a GREAT HANDLER especially when you view it's suspension geometry! The BMW is MUCH more expensive to repair, but both need a rich friend if anything goes wrong! They BOTH must use only EUROPEAN FULLY SYNTHETIC FLUIDS to be cheap to own! NO VALVOLINE and NO PRESTONE EVER either! Fluids for BOSCH cars come from ZF, and PENTOSIN and RAVENOL companies! All EURO CARS are a collection of SUPPLIERS< like BOSCH, SIEMENS, ATE Girling, HELLA and more! OIL CHANGE CENTERS have ruined a LOT of cars, ( more than just euro ones) , so read MANUALS about FLUID SPECS, The AUDI cars are MUCH EASIER to "SOUP UP" and are really more efficient afterwards! You can buy TWO GREAT USED AUDIS for the price of a similar BMW car, comparing year by year! Use "CARGURUS to focus in on what YOU WANT! U|AUDi has won nearly every crash test since 1984 forward! Believe it or not I was just watching a Top Gear episode where Jeremy Clarkson compares the M3 and RS4.

Even though the RS4 had more power and 4WD / AWD the BMW was better in corners and quicker.
Jeremy said he would rather have the standard M3 (with no upgrades at all) over the RS4

I have a Audi TT (alot of fun very quick car - I recommend that) BUT if I was to choose between the M3 and S4 it would definetely be a M3.
