Ford power train warranty am I covered?

So a while back my moms car had a transmission problem, sometimes the car wouldn't go into 4th gear, there wansnt much the car matinence center could do besides replacing the whole thing, now my car has began to this same thing, sometimes when I accelerate a litte faster than normal ill come up to a stop light and when I start to pick up speed again my car won't shift(automatic) will stay at 30mph and just kicks up the revs and won't go any faster, i know ford has a 5 year 60,000 mile powertrain warranty, should I be covered?

That would depend on whether the transmission problem is determined to be cause by component failure or by neglect or abuse.

Take it in and have it looked at. The problem may/may not be transmission or power train related. The coverage isn't claimed until they discover/verify that it is indeed a covered problem.

Well the car has a 5/60 warranty that is whichever comes first so how old is the car and how many mile's are on it. Weather they cover it under warranty depends on that info
