Get your engine checked
Engine running and revved: Check for voltage at the battery terminal of alternator, 13.5 to 14.5 volts. Check for voltage at output wire to battery light, over 13.5 to 14.5volts. Bad alternator if it fails any of the test.
Alternator may be overcharging
Bad connection, loose wires, and voltage doesn't necessarily mean the battery isn't bad.
The alternator is not charging correctly.
